‘Anything Firmino can do Marcus Rashford can do better’ – Manchester United fans hail striker’s fantastic assist against Bournemouth

The mood really has changed at Old Trafford. Manchester United look a completely different team since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of the club.

And it looks as though Solskjaer is on for a third win in as many games as United have raced into an early lead against Bournemouth – a game you can listen to live on talkSPORT now.

A rejuvenated Paul Pogba gave the Red Devils a fifth-minute lead but the goal was all about Marcus Rashford.

The striker picked the ball up on the right and was seemingly going nowhere with his back to goal and Nathan Ake on top of him.

However, Rashford had other ideas and put the ball past the Cherries defender before doing a brilliant flip-flap turn to bamboozle Diego Rico.

The 20-year-old then put a menacing cross in the box which Pogba got on the end of.

Pogba headed in on 33 minutes to double United’s lead before Rashford scored just before Nathan Ake’s header to give United a 3-1 lead at half-time but the first goal showed how much things have changed in such a short space of time.

For the first time in ages, United fans are really looking forward to seeing their team play.

Some Red Devils supporters took to Twitter to heap praise on Rashford with one claiming it was better work than Firmino’s slalomed goal during Liverpool’s 5-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday.
