Arsenal transfer news: Bayern Munich and Juventus will offer Aaron Ramsey £9million-a-year to quit the Emirates
Bayern Munich and Juventus are prepared to battle it out for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey, according to reports.
The Wales international will leave the Emirates this summer after a contract offer from the Gunners’ board was rescinded in September.
After a decade of service in north London, Ramsey will quit the club for free – and is not short of offers.
Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with sensational swoops, while Paris Saint-Germain, Inter and AC Milan are also said to be interested.
However, according to Calcio Mercato, Juventus have moved ahead of their Serie A rivals with a whopping £9million-a-year offer.
The £9m salary equates to about £175,000-a-week – less than the £200,000 deal he had agreed with Arsenal before the Gunners pulled the plug in September.
But Bundesliga champions Bayern believe they can beat the Italian giants to the signing of the 27-year-old.
Bayern boss Niko Kovac is keen to bolster his midfield to provide competition for Leon Gotetzka, Thiago Alcantara and James Rodriguez.
Both clubs can make a move for Ramsey next month and sign the midfielder on a pre-contract agreement.
