Championship 2018/19 table: Super Computer predicts where every club will end the season – *April update*
Norwich look all set for automatic promotion to the Premier League, with Daniel Farke’s men seven points clear of third place Sheffield United after their 1-0 win at Middlesbrough at the weekend.
The Canaries also lie five points clear of nearest challengers Leeds, who came from behind twice to get the better of struggling Millwall in a five-goal thriller at Elland Road.
Aston Villa’s resurgence continues after a fifth straight win saw them consolidate their play-off spot, while Boro’s battle for a top six spot continues to dwindle after their fifth successive defeat at the hands of Bristol City on Tuesday night.
At the bottom Reading picked up a valuable win over in-form Preston to ease their relegation worries, while QPR continue to look over their shoulder after a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to fellow strugglers Bolton.
The Rs – who axed Steve McClaren on Monday after less than 11 months in charge – have won just one of their last 15 league games and lie eight points above the drop zone with seven games remaining.
