Chelsea handed major boost with Mason Mount passed fit to START against Crystal Palace
Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has recovered from a knock to start in the Premier League clash with Crystal Palace – live on talkSPORT.
The 20-year-old was a doubt for the fixture after limping off during the crazy 4-4 draw with Ajax on Tuesday night.
His potential absence would’ve left Frank Lampard light in midfield, with Ross Barkley injured and Jorginho suspended for the clash.
But the Blues boss has been handed a major boost with Mount passed fit to start, while N’Golo Kante also comes into the side following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The French midfielder has missed the last six games, and much of the season, although Chelsea have coped well without him.
They are looking for their sixth straight league win when Palace visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday – and Lampard has also called Champions League hero Reece James into the side.
James, the 19-year-old right-back who scored the equaliser against Ajax, replaces Cesar Azpilicueta, presumably to give the captain a rest.
