Christian Eriksen: Manchester United told they will have to cough up at least £60m for Danish playmaker

Manchester United have been told by Spurs they will have to cough up at least £60million if they want to sign Christian Eriksen.

The Red Devils are planning a massive overhaul of the squad, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hugely dissatisfied with his current crop following their barren run of form in which they have recorded seven defeats in nine matches.

Eriksen is now on Man United’s transfer wish-list

Eriksen, 27, has one year left on a contract that earns him a reported £70,000-a-week, but has been stalling on signing a new deal amidst interest from LaLiga giants Real Madrid.

Los Blancos were reportedly weighing up a £100million bid to acquire his services at the turn of the year – and according to the Evening Standard, United are now thought to have joined the race for his signature.

Getting Eriksen to sign a new deal could be vital to any hopes Spurs have of bringing silverware to the club as he has once again been crucial this season, racking up seven goals and 12 assists in 32 league matches.
