Conor McGregor congratulates Becky Lynch and hints at WWE run – Stephanie McMahon has replied to him

Conor McGregor is only 30-years-old and he has already retired twice from MMA, competed in the most lucrative fight in sports history, is a box office sensation and one of the most decorated UFC fighters of all-time.

He’s one of the biggest stars in the world and a household name, no doubt. Just what he will do next is up for debate, but it seems that keeping people guessing is just what McGregor likes to do.

Conor McGregor had retired from MMA for the second time

Although the Irishman retired from MMA just a few weeks ago, he has been trying to get a rematch out of Khabib Nurmagomedov in the past couple of weeks that has seen their feud on Twitter reach new heights.

McGregor lost their first encounter at UFC 299 comprehensively, but the first man in UFC history to hold two different weight titles at the same time, Notorious carries considerable weight.

Speaking of double champions, McGregor praised compatriot Becky Lynch for achieving the same feat on Sunday at WrestleMania.

The Man defeated UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win the Raw Women’s title and the SmackDown Women’s title at WrestleMania 35 and McGregor sent her a congratulatory tweet.

When he suggested he wouldn’t be able to do what wrestlers do – although he quickly questioned that statement – Stephanie McMahon replied to the UFC legend.

Could we ever see McGregor in WWE? Surely not in a full-time capacity like Rousey, but as a one-off or special WrestleMania moment? Of course.

The likes of Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson have done so at the height of their fame and made tremendous money with the WWE.

For now, though, McGregor seems to be concentrating on getting back in the octagon and getting back to winning ways.
