Everton youngster Moise Kean dropped from squad for Southampton victory for breaking disciplinary measures
Everton’s teenage striker Moise Kean was dropped from Marco Silva’s squad to face Southampton having breached the club’s disciplinary rules.
Kean, a £27m summer signing from Italian giants Juventus, travelled with the rest of the group to St Mary’s for the clash – which ended 2-1 to the Toffees – but was omitted from the matchday squad.
Silva took the decision to drop Kean from his squad altogether after he turned up late for a team meeting on two separate occasions.
The 19-year-old, who has already made three appearances for Italy’s senior squad, has since apologised to Silva and the matter is considered closed.
This is not the first time Kean has landed himself in hot water over his punctuality.
He was similarly excluded from Italy’s squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers against Armenia and Finland in September having also arrived late for a summer team meeting.

Speaking at the time, manager Roberto Mancini said: “Professionals must always behave well.”
Kean has started just two Premier League games and two Carabao Cup fixtures this season, and is yet to get off the mark for his new side.
The talented forward has barely featured under Silva, who described his exclusion at the weekend as ‘just a decision’.
