Raheem Sterling was denied a dramatic injury time winner as
Tottenham snatched a stunning away-goals victory against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Everyone had thought that the England winger had won it at the death for Pep Guardiola’s side, so much so that even Man City’s social media team posted a premature celebration tweet after the ball went in.
Sterling thought he had scored the winner but his goal was disallowed
But VAR intervened to stun the Etihad into silence and Spurs went through to the semi-finals despite a 4-3 defeat on the night.
