Floyd Mayweather vs Tenshin Nasukawa: Boxing legend reveals he will make million for New Year’s Eve exhibition bout

Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is set to live up to his moniker once again when he takes on Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan on New Year’s Eve.

The retired 50-0 boxing legend agreed to head to Tokyo for a bizarre exhibition bout which initially took many people by surprise, however the reason for his trip has now been revealed.

Floyd Mayweather is still making seven figures, even in retirement

Mayweather claims he will be making a whopping $9million for the fight, which only lasts for three, three-minute rounds.

He will therefore earn $1million per minute for an event which he himself is even describing as “sparring.”

The contest will take place at the Saitama Super Arena just outside of Tokyo on New Year’s Eve and various estimates have speculated that the fighters could ring walk any time between 11am and 1pm UK time.
