Jarrell Miller fails ANOTHER drugs test ahead of cancelled Anthony Joshua fight
Jarrell Miller has failed a second VADA drugs test ahead of his cancelled fight with Anthony Joshua.
‘Big Baby’ was due to challenge AJ for his heavyweight belts on June 1 in New York, but this bout is now off as it was announced on Wednesday that he’d tested positive for GW1516 (Endurobol).
Now, it’s claimed by ESPN that Miller also tested positive for HGH (Human Growth Hormone) in a separate test to the one that initially cost him his licence with the New York State Athletic Commission.
Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed the story, saying: “We have now received news from VADA that Jarrell Miller has failed a second separate test for a further substance.
“AJ’s June 1 opponent will be announced next week – if you don’t think you can beat him clean then delete my number.”
Miller vociferously denied the results of the first test and planned to appeal the commission’s decision.
He is yet to comment on this latest positive.
Regarding June 1, the show will still go ahead with Anthony Joshua seeking out a new opponent for his US debut at Madison Square Garden in New York.
