Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool can still improve after beating Chelsea to maintain 100 per cent start to Premier League season
Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool’s decision-making needs to improve.
Klopp told talkSPORT: “Poor decision-making, our passes in decisive moments, next week we’ll talk about something else probably.
“But winning a ball is good, but if you win the ball, you have to make the right decision in space.
“They do that very often, really good, but Chelsea is a proper, proper football team, so it was hard, it was a really hard shift today.
“The boys did it and I’m really pleased about that.”
First-half goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead at Stamford Bridge, before N’Golo Kante pulled one back for the hosts.
The Reds had to defend a barrage of Chelsea attacks late on, and were let off the hook when Mason Mount skied a huge chance in the 90th minute.
Klopp added: “We had to fight for it, and the boys were ready for that. I’m really happy about the way we played today.
“We have a lot of things to improve, but it’s always like this.

“There were so many good pressing situations, so smart how we defended, how we closed them down, then winning the ball.
“Unfortunately, the stuff we did with the ball was not often good enough. But for the goals, we had set-pieces and it was brilliant.
“We could have scored three and four after half-time, they were really big chances. But we didn’t do that, so the game was open, but we fought hard for it and we deserved it.”
