KSI vs Logan Paul 2 is a way to help grow the sport of boxing, David Haye tells talkSPORT

David Haye believes the KSI vs Logan Paul fight will be good to help grow the sport of boxing.

The highly anticipated rematch has provoked a mixed response in boxing circles but former two-weight world champion Haye sees only positives.

He told talkSPORT: “The purists hate it. I understand that. Purists only want to watch the hardcore boxing but I am of the opinion that we need to grow the sport of boxing any way we can.

“If that means tapping into the 40million subscribers that KSI and Logan Paul have and if we get one per cent of that jump into the boxing side then that’s a fantastic thing.”

Billy Joe Saunders is putting his WBO super-middleweight title on the line on the undercard of KSI vs Logan Paul 2.

Haye thinks his style will go down well with those who aren’t traditional boxing fans.

He said: “I think anyone who tunes in, especially their fans who may not have any interest in boxing but may have an interest in KSI and Logan Paul fighting, anyone who tunes in and sees Billy Joe Saunders fight in the chief support are going to become boxing fans.
