Kyle Walker-Peters: Tottenham Hotspur fans can’t believe how good the right-back has been against Bournemouth
Christmas is the time for giving and Kyle Walker-Peters was definitely in the mood as he made three assists to put Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 up against Bournemouth – by half-time.
The young right-back was finally given a chance to shine at Wembley with rival Kieran Trippier rested and Serge Aurier not in the 18-man squad.
In his previous two Premier League starts – against Newcastle and Leicester City last season – he won the Man of the Match award in both.
He’s found game time hard to come by this year and his only previous start was against Barcelona at the Camp Nou, but put on a ‘masterclass’, according to his fans, against the Cherries.
First off, he slipped the ball to Christian Eriksen for his deflected long range strike and he found Heung-Min Son on the edge of the area for Spurs’ second.
The third was a smart cut-back for Lucas Moura and now supporters want to see him handed more time on the pitch for the rest of the season.
