Manchester City vs Crystal Palace: Premier League match preview, team news, predicted line-ups, plus more
It’s win or bust right now in the Premier League for Manchester City as they battle for a second consecutive title.
They may hold an air invincibility but a defeat to Chelsea shows they can be stopped, and it allowed Liverpool to take top spot – and Crystal Palace will be looking to inflict on them another blow.
The Eagles are battling the threat of relegation and currently sit 15th in the Premier League, just three points away from but striking a blow on Saturday will ease their worries at Christmas.

What the managers are saying
Pep Guardiola (Man City): “The quality of the players they have – (Andros) Townsend, especially (Wilfried) Zaha, (Max) Meyer, (James) McArthur, (Luka) Milivojevic – all the players have quality, and (they have) an incredibly experienced manager.
“I saw the game against Chelsea. It is so difficult to attack them. Maybe people expect better results than they have had so far. It is complicated. That will be so tomorrow if we are not completely focused.”
Roy Hodgson (Crystal Palace): “We’re really grateful to [Luka Milivojevic’s] ability on penalties, but he’s chipped in really well elsewhere, especially free-kicks and the wonderful distance strike last Saturday.
“We think he’s a very, very good player, and we’re lucky to have him.”
David Silva remains absent for Man City, along with Vincent Kompany, and Danilo, while left-back Benjamin Mendy (knee) and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo (Achilles) are long-term absentees.
Cheikhou Kouyate (knock) is a doubt for Palace along with defender Martin Kelly (adductor) but Wayne Hennessey has not recovered from a back spasm, so will miss out.
Manchester City XI: Ederson; Walker, Delph, Stones, Laporte; Fernandinho, B. Silva, Gundogan; Sterling, G Jesus, Sane.
Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; Wan-Bissaka, Van Aanholt, Tomkins, Sakho; McArthur, Milivojevic, Meyer, Puncheon; Townsend, Zaha.
