Manchester United news: Paul Pogba enjoying style of play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he explains differences between Jose Mourinho
Paul Pogba says Manchester United’s players are now enjoying themselves on the pitch.
His comments came after the club recorded their third straight win – a 4-1 win thumping of Bournemouth – under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Pogba scored twice and Solskjaer said the midfielder’s game was almost perfect.
The 25-year-old has thrived since the change in manager.
“It’s different,” he said when asked what was new under Solskjaer compared to Jose Mourinho, who was sacked earlier in December.
“We still won some games with the old manager it’s just a different style of play.
“We are more offensive, we create more chances, play higher.
“We want to attack. The manager wants to attack. That’s what we’re doing.”
It’s a style of play Pogba has been craving for a while and even got himself into trouble in September for admitting as much.
On the mood among his team-mates since Solskjaer’s arrival, he said: “Maybe we’ve just realised we’re Manchester United and we need to be at the top of the league.
“You see the reaction of the players. Everyone is enjoying themselves and that’s what we need.
“We need to enjoy playing, work for each other and that gets the results.”
