Manchester United team news: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer names Pogba and Martial in first starting line-up as caretaker manager

Paul Pogba has been named in Manchester United’s starting line-up by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The midfielder’s last Premier League start came on 1 December and he has seen 15 minutes of league action since.

Solskjaer is in charge until the end of the season

“Everyone starts with a clean slate and we want players to perform, and we’ll give them the chance,” he said.

“We have got 23, 24 players, they’re all quality and they’ll all get a chance now. With the amount of games coming up, they have got a chance to show that they are Manchester United players.”

On Pogba, Solskjaer said: “He’s a World Cup winner, Paul is a terrific lad.

Pogba fell out with Mourinho, but has a clean slate under Solskjaer

“When I had him as a kid he was always the happy-go-lucky lad and he’s not changed personality wise.

“He’s a better player, and of course he’s one I want to get the best out of.

“We have so many quality players that I want to get the best out of and he’s no different to anyone else.”

With Romelu Lukaku on compassionate leave, the attack consists of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard.
