Manchester United transfer news: Ander Herrera ‘will’ sign with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and Athletic Bilbao bid came too late
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly won the race to sign Ander Herrera.
The Manchester United midfielder is out of contract in the summer and has been free to enter contract negotiations with overseas teams.
The Ligue 1 club have been the frontrunners for some time but United were still trying to get him to sign a new deal.
Athletic Bilbao emerged as a late bidder to try and take the 29-year-old back to the La Liga club.
French radio station RMC report that Bilbao’s offer came too late and he will be moving to the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.
They claim that he has yet to put pen to paper on the deal but the only issue is the length of contract he will get.
It will be either four or five years.
Herrera’s protracted signing from Athletic Bilbao was completed in 2014 when United met his £28.85million buyout clause.
