Manchester United transfer news: Paul Pogba to be offered club captaincy to fend off Real Madrid interest
Paul Pogba will be reportedly by offered the Manchester United captaincy as the club attempt to stop him joining Real Madrid this summer,
The French World Cup winner was stripped of his role as vice-captain by former manager Jose Mourinho back in September after saying he was unhappy with the attitude of the player.
With current club captain Antonio Valencia set to leave at the end of the season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to put Pogba in charge of Man United and hopes the added responsibility will ensure he regains his focus, according to The Mirror.
It is hoped Pogba will commit his future to United if given the armband as it will show him how much he is valued by the club.
