Manchester United’s Class of ’92 reunite for seven-a-side kick about against Salford City academy
Manchester United’s famed Class of ’92 have reunited for a seven-a-side match in the city.
Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, David Beckham and Chris Casper took part in the match, along with Beckham’s son Romeo, on the roof of Hotel Football next to Old Trafford.
The former Manchester United players dusted off their boots to beat a team from Salford City’s academy, where Casper works as director of football.
Fellow member of the Class of ’92 Nicky Butt was there for moral support but did not play in the match.
Beckham posted the picture on his Instagram account saying: “Not a bad little team”.
The Neville brothers, Scholes, Giggs and Butt all own a 10 per cent stake in National League club Salford, who are flying this season.
They are second in the table and are one point behind leaders Leyton Orient at the halfway point of the campaign.
