Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reminds Manchester United fans ‘this is a rebuilding job’ after West Ham loss
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has urged Manchester United fans to remain patient.
The Red Devils were beaten 2-0 by West Ham on Sunday thanks to goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell.
The Norwegian believes his side had the chances to ‘easily’ win at the London Stadium.
Solskjaer told talkSPORT: “I’ve said it many times, this is a rebuilding job and the boys are working as hard as they can.
“Behind the scenes we’re working and we want to improve and I wouldn’t be anywhere else with anyone else.
“They’re tight, even games, and sometimes there’s not an easy explanation why you don’t get results.
“Like today, it could have easily gone our way, but it did their way. We’ve just got to work to tip it our way.
“As a manager, you look at everything that’s got to improve, we want to be better defending, we want to be better attacking, we want to have more energy.
“You’re always looking to improve and to continue to work the way we believe.
“We had the moments today, but we didn’t grasp them. We just have to accept that West Ham deserved the win.”

Marcus Rashford added to Manchester United’s woes when he was substituted with a groin injury in the second-half.
He joins fellow attackers Anthony Martial (thigh) and Mason Greenwood (illness) on the sidelines, with Solskjaer admitting the injury does not look good.
The Norwegian added: “He’ll have a scan tomorrow. He felt his groin. I think he will be out for a while.”
