Philippines MMA promotion URCC has insane three Vs. three fight with ridiculous results
If the UFC has taught us anything down the years, it’s that the biggest rivalries can be settled inside the octagon.
One-on-one. Man to man. The UFC and just about every other mixed martial arts promotion has given us that gift, but it seems that the time has finally come to step it up a notch.
A promotion based in the Philippines, Universal Reality Combat Championship or URCC for short, decided to stage a three-on-three idea this past weekend and the results were… strange.
As you can see from the video below, six men and two referees filled the cage at URCC 77 and instead of chaos ensuring, it was just pretty weird.
Team Philippines versus Team China saw six men go at it and it’s safe to say not all men were in the same weight class, at all.
It lasted barely one minute until Team China appeared to pick up the victory, much to the dismay of the ‘home team’ Philippines.
Could you imagine this happening in the UFC? Maybe welterweight friends Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley can take on Jorge Masvidal and champion Kamara Usman? Actually, that does some kind of interesting…
MMA is taking more notes from the WWE every day. It started with the press conferences and now we’re getting muti-man matches? They’ll be ladders and tables in the octagon before you know it.
