‘Theo Walcott, forever a Gooner’: Arsenal fans delight as former star scores against bitter rivals Tottenham
Theo Walcott did his old club a huge favour by putting Everton in front against Arsenal’s top-four rivals Tottenham.
The former Gunners star has long-been Spurs’ nemesis – remember his cheeky 2-0 gesture during a 2014 FA Cup clash?
And he proved a thorn in the side of the north Londoners once again as he arrived late in the box to slam home from Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s cross.
Walcott scored more than 100 goals during his time at Arsenal, and many Gunners fans celebrated his latest strike as though he was still their player.
Their joy was short lived, however, as Tottenham launched a stunning response to take a 3-1 lead into half-time.
