Tottenham Hotspur news: The games Heung-Min Son could miss because of South Korea Asian Cup call-up
Heung-Min Son is a man in form, but Tottenham will have to do without him in January.
The forward was recently called up to the South Korea squad for the AFC Asian Cup and could miss up to four games for the Premier League side.
The tournament takes place between January 5 and February 1 in the United Arab Emirates with 24 nations taking part.
Son will miss the first part of the tournament, but will join up with the rest of the South Korea squad for their final group match against China, with his final game before departing coming against Manchester United on Sunday, January.
He will miss Premier League games against Fulham and Watford and also the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
Son scored in the quarter-final victory over Arsenal to help them through to the final four and then followed that up with two against Everton in the 6-2 thumping, a game he also recorded an assist in.
Then it was Bournemouth’s turn to feel his wrath on Boxing Day as he scored Spurs’ second goal of the game.
If South Korea progress to the final of the competition, then he would also miss the match with Newcastle on Saturday, February 2.
