Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury update on Dele Alli, Serge Aurier and Mousa Dembele ahead of Wovles clash
Dele Alli will be assessed by Tottenham Hotspur’s medical staff on Saturday ahead of the club’s game against Wolves.
The midfielder has been suffering with a hamstring problem and missed the 5-0 thrashing of Bournemouth on Boxing Day, having picked the injury up in the previous game against Everton.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said the midfielder was raring to go to get back into action.
“All the players want to play, no-one wants to rest”, said Pochettino at a press conference on Thursday.
“Dele yesterday was involved in the squad [against Bournemouth] but after was out of the 18.
“But this morning he said, ‘Gaffer I’m going to be ready.’ I said, ‘Relax, you need to train this morning and then we’ll see tomorrow’.”
Defender Serge Aurier is back in training with the squad after recovering from a groin injury picked up in their 2-0 win at Leicester City on December 8.
Central midfielder Victor Wanyama (knee) has joined Jan Vertonghen (thigh) in on-field rehabilitation.
Mousa Dembele is in the final stages of rehab after an ankle problem while Eric Dier is still out of action after having his appendix removed.
