Bernardo Silva was a notable absentee from the side to face
Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
Riyad Mahrez started for City against Tottenham
The Brazilian winger has been an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s side this season but he was not even on the bench.
Mahrez was also preferred to Leroy Sane in the starting line-up at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Bernardo Silva was not even on the bench against Spurs
There was also no room in the side for Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany.
Spurs, meanwhile, lined-up as expected.
