The transfer window reopens in less than two weeks and there is set to be plenty of business done across British football.

Here’s the top football rumours, news and gossip from Saturday’s newspapers and across the web…

Arsenal will investigate the possibility of a swap deal involving Mesut Ozil for Real Madrid’s Isco. The German has fallen out of favour with Unai Emery, who on Wednesday refused to confirm Ozil has a future at the club. Ozil’s huge £300,000-a-week contract will make him hugely difficult to offload, but some club figures feel a solution may be possible with Isco, with Real ready to move their playmaker on. Chelsea have ruled out sending Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan in January after the England midfielder’s recent impressive form but the club are considering the futures of Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham before the transfer window. (Guardian)

Chelsea star Victor Moses is expected to join Crystal Palace in a £12million deal next month. Moses is the first casualty of Maurizio Sarri’s overhaul of the squad at Stamford Bridge after failing to impress the Blues boss. (The Sun)

Thierry Henry wants to sign Cesc Fabregas in January. The Chelsea midfielder is unhappy with his lack of game time at Stamford Bridge and is a long-term target of AC Milan. But Henry wants the Spain star to help out his struggling Monaco team. (Daily Mirror)
