Blues boss Pep Guardiola has been checking on the 22-year-old, who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid as a long-term replacement for Marcelo. Premier League champions City are now weighing up whether to make a move for Firpo, who could provide cover, and competition, for Benjamin Mendy. Manchester City have been knocked back in a bid for Lyon defensive midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. City bid £45m for the 22-year-old, who impressed twice in the meetings with Lyon in the Champions League, however the French club are looking for at least £75m for the French international. (The Times)

Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke has had a medical with Crystal Palace ahead of his loan move. The 21-year-old has had limited opportunities at Anfield since joining the club from Chelsea in 2017 and is now set for regular Premier League first team football at Selhurst Park. (Daily Mail)

RB Leipzig have become the latest club to express their interest in signing Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports. Bayern Munich are very keen on the 18-year-old with reports claiming the Bundesliga champions had already bid £13million for the Chelsea man and now Leipzig have entered the race for Hudson-Odoi.
