Watford mocked for Elton John sing-a-long at half-time of Southampton clash – ‘Next we’ll be handing out seventh place pens’

When you think of Watford Football Club, Elton John immediately springs to mind.

The music icon is one of the world’s mos famous football fans and the Hornets are where his loyalties lie.

He used to be the owner of the Vicarage Road club but is now their honorary life president.

A movie is even being made about Elton – Rocketman – which is out in UK cinemas on May 17th, one day before Watford’s FA Cup final date with Manchester City.

And to honour him, the club have put together a half-time sing-a-long for their Premier League clash at home to Southampton on Tuesday night.

But when the news was announced before the match, fans took this opportunity to mock the rather cringe-worthy scenes that could grace the stadium at the break.
