Womens Euro 2017 Predictions and Betting Tips
A feast of football kicks off in the Netherlands this Sunday with the start of the Women’s European Championships and a number of teams are in with a serious chance of taking the crown. Trophy holders Germany will surely have a good attempt at retaining the title, but the likes of England and France will also have something to say about that. A total of 16 teams are vying to win the tournament in what promises to be another thrilling few weeks of competition. Though they are not among the favourites, teams such as Holland, Sweden and Norway will also be hoping to at least progress to the later stages of the Euros.

Women’s Euros Winners Prediction
Although Germany are at short odds of 2/1 to win the competition, we are tipping England, currently valued at odds of 7/1 with bet365 pre-tournament, to lift the trophy. The Lionesses have an experienced coach in Mark Sampson and a strong spine to the team, with captain Steph Houghton strong at the back, Fara Wlliams a controlling presence in midfield and forwards such as Ellen White and recent Barcelona signing Toni Duggan in attack.
A recent warm-up game saw England beat Denmark 2-1 with a much-changed side, but that result will have provided confidence ahead of the side’s opening encounter against Scotland in Utrecht on Wednesday, July 19. We see England topping their group, with only Spain looking realistically able of challenging their dominance. Beyond that, only tournament holders Germany and France are valued at better odds to go on and win the Euros.
Sampson will be hoping that his side can go at least one better than the team managed at the World Cup two years ago, when they were cruelly eliminated at the semi-final stage by Japan before claiming third place with a victory in a play-off with the Germans.
In summary, we see England as being the best valued side to win the tournament ahead of its start and advise backing them at 7/1.

Group A Winners Prediction
It is likely to be a straight fight between host country Holland and Norway to top Group A, with Belgium likely to take the wooden spoon. Norway have had a mixed 2017 so far in terms of results, but they have managed wins over Switzerland, England and Sweden and certainly look capable of upsetting the odds. We advise backing Norway to top the group at odds of 2/1 with bet365.
Group B Winners Prediction
It is hard to look past tournament favourites and holders Germany as winners of Group B. Steffi Jones’ team is currently ranked second in the world after previous coach Silvia Neid led the side to Olympic glory in Brazil last year. Their opening match against Sweden is likely to be the toughest encounter they face in the group stages before what look like comfortable fixtures against Italy and Russia. We advise backing them at odds of 2/9 to top the group and progress to the knockout rounds.
Group C Winners Prediction
France, second favourites to win the tournament, look to be the standout side in Group C. Switzerland are probably the only side who have any chance of upsetting the odds, but even they are a long shot 9/1 to top this group, while the other sides Iceland and Austria are at 12/1 and 20/1 respectively. We advise backing the French team at odds of 1/9 with bet365. They have a decent recent record in tournaments, having managed fourth place at the 2011 World Cup.
Group D Winners Prediction
Mark Sampson’s England are hot favourites to win Group D and we see little reason to suggest that they will not finish top out of themselves, Spain, Scotland and Portugal. England look to have too much in attack for the other sides to cope with and although Spain are tipped at odds of 13/8 with bet365, we think that the Lionesses will comfortably win the group and head into the quarter-final stage. England are valued at odds of 1/2 with bet365 to win Group D.
