WrestleMania 35 RESULTS: Six new champions crowned with historic main event covered in controversy
A fantastic WrestleMania is in the books and it’s quite possibly the most feel-good WrestleMania of all-time.
It will surely go down as one of the greatest ever, so let’s give you a quick rundown of the results below:
Universal title: Seth Rollins def Brock Lesnar
Paul Heyman kicked off the show demanding that if Lesnar wasn’t the main event, they be on first. You can read the rest of that bout here.
AJ Styles def. Randy Orton
A classic WrestleMania match between two seasoned veterans that delivered on every level. A really fun bout with several teases for a big RKO, but Styles ultimately came out on top.
LATEST WWE NEWS
SmackDown Tag Team titles: The Usos def. The Bar, Ricochet & Aleister Black and Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura
A fast-paced match that showcased the skills that each team had here with the right pair going over. The Usos are arguably the best tag team in the world and they showed it once again here.
Falls Count Anywhere: Shane McMahon def. The Miz
This… was crazy. The Miz lost his temper and then some here after Shane McMahon targeted his dad again and the result of that was a big, big fall for both men. Read about it here.
Women’s Tag Team titles: The IIconics def. Boss ‘N Hug Connection, Divas of Doom and Nia Jax & Tamina
Another match where every team shined at different spots, the IIconics got the win and huge pop thanks to their smarts. Beth Phoenix had hit the Glam Slam from the top rope on Bayley, but Billie Kay moved her out of the ring so Peyton Royce could get the win.
WWE title: Kofi Kingston def. Daniel Bryan
What a moment! The closing stages of this match are something to behold and after a deliberately slow start with Daniel Byran dictating, Kofi Kingston showed why he has arrived. Read about it here.
United States title: Samoa Joe def. Rey Mysterio
This match was over inside a couple of minutes as Joe choked out Mysterio. Ultimately, Mysterio was still injured and couldn’t do much.
Roman Reigns def. Drew McIntyre
Typical monster heel and babyface here as Drew McIntyre dominated the entire proceedings before Reigns made the big babyface comeback. He gets the win that he needed and you can read it about it more here.
No Holds Barred: Triple H def. Batista
This was brutal but the spot everyone is talking about had Triple H use pliers to rip out Dave Batista’s nose ring. These two pulled out all the stops before a Ric Flair distraction allowed Triple H to land a sledgehammer blow and a pedigree for the win.
Farewell match: Baron Corbin def. Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle put Baron Corbin over on the way out of the door. The match was nothing great but a missed Angle moonsault set up the End of Days for the finish.
Intercontinental title: Finn Balor def. Bobby Lashley
Finn Balor competed as the demon and even though Bobby Lashley had a few moments where he more than played his part, this was all about putting over how powerful the Demon persona is.
SmackDown and Raw Women’s title: Becky Lynch def. Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair
Becky Lynch got the cradle pin over Ronda Rousey, but it has been reported that she was meant to actually tap out Charlotte. Something did look like it went wrong but the match overall was a very good watch and deserving of its spot. Read about it here.
