WrestleMania 35: Roman Reigns beats Drew McIntyre in his first singles match since battling leukemia
Roman Reigns was forced to step away from wrestling last October when it was revealed he was battling leukemia for the second time in his life.
In the process, he had to relinquish the Universal title and take time away from the industry.
At the end of February, Reigns appeared on Raw and revealed that he was in remission and free to return to the WWE.
Although he made his return at Fastlane alongside his Shield brothers Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, Reigns had his first singles match back at WrestleMania 35.
He faced Drew McIntyre one-on-one and spent the majority of the affair taking a beating from the Scottish Terminator.
A suplex from the apron to the outside among many other painful spots was not enough to keep the Big Dog down.
Eventually, Reigns, 33, landed the Spear on McIntyre and in front of 80,000 people, he picked up his first win since overcoming the illness.
Good to have you back, Roman.
