WWE gossip column: Big update on Sasha Banks’ future, worrying injury news for Daniel Bryan and all of today’s top news

It’s WWE gossip time! The Superstar Shakeup is in the books and the WWE has several new directions it can take.

Let’s dig into the rumours swirling around the wrestling business after an incredibly busy two weeks:

Sasha Banks update

It’s been noted by Dave Meltzer that despite being given time off from the WWE, Banks is scheduled to feature at Money in the Bank on May 19.

It’s reported that not only was she and Bayley upset about dropping the tag team titles at WrestleMania 35, but they were told the same weekend that they would be split up in the Superstar Shakeup, too. That’s when Sasha tried to quit, allegedly.

Two matches announced for AEW Fight for the Fallen

AEW’s Fight For The Fallen event goes down on Saturday, July 13 in Jacksonville, Florida at the Daily’s Place Amphitheater.

So far, All Elite Wrestling have announced two matches for the card. Kenny Omega taking on the newly-signed Cima and Brandi Rhodes – wife of Cody – taking on Allie.

Daniel Bryan injury

Fans will have noticed that Daniel Bryan has not appeared on WWE TV since dropping his WWE title to Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania.

Rather ominously, PW Insider say “the nature of the situation has been closely guarded.” Sheamus is also reportedly injured.

War Raiders name change to Viking Experience

PW Insider also says War Raiders were originally going to have their name changed to The Bezerkers ahead of their call-up.

Vince McMahon made the last-minute decision completely by himself, the report states.
