WWE gossip column: Raw superstar set for big push, Charlotte Flair had Andrade moved to SmackDown and all of today’s top news

Raw and Smackdown are in the books this week and both new rosters have had a chance to show what their shows will look like moving forward.

But, as always, there is plenty going on in the background. Let’s check out today’s rumours in wrestling:

Jeff Hardy injured

According to Dave Meltzer, Jeff Hardy is said to be dealing with a leg injury that has put the Hardy Boyz’s Tag Team title pursuit on hold.

Hardy has struggled with injuries since returning to the company in 2017 and WWE are proceeding with caution.

Charlotte Flair and Andrade

Despite moving to Raw last week, Andrade and Zelina Vega were promptly moved back to SmackDown just a week later, in part, due to FOX wanting Latino stars when the show debuts later this year.

However, it seems that Charlotte Flair’s wish for them to be together was a big factor, too. WWE has made an effort to keep couples together in the Superstar Shakeup – hence why Aleister Black has followed his wife over to Tuesday nights – and TMZ are even reporting that Charlotte and Andrade are engaged.

Drew McIntyre push

According to Cageside Seats, WWE is going out of their way to protect Drew McIntyre at the moment as they still have very big plans for the Scot.

There have been rumours that he will win the Money in the Bank briefcase this year.

Bray Wyatt’s return

The Bray Wyatt segment from RAW has already been watched over a million times on YouTube in less than 24 hours. In addition to that, the video reached No. 8 on YouTube’s trending videos list.

While initially garnering mixed, confused reviews, there has been widespread backing for the new Wyatt character online.
