WWE Superstar Shakeup: all the big rumored moves for Raw and SmackDown Live
It’s Superstar Shakeup time in the WWE!
Once a year, Raw and SmackDown trade some superstars and fans are able to look forward to new rivalries and a few shocks along the way.
Last year, most fans would agree that SmackDown got the better end of the stick. With Raw’s ratings at an all-time low, Vince McMahon will be tempted to bring over some Blue Brand stars to Monday nights.
Then again, SmackDown will debut on FOX in September in a money-spinning deal that will need big stars to front it.
Below are the biggest rumours heading into the next two nights:
First off, The Usos have been heavily rumoured to be making the jump to RAW. As one of the best tag teams in the world, it makes the world of sense for them to have dropped the SmackDown Live tag team titles last week if the plan is to send them to RAW.
AJ Styles is another man that is heavily rumoured to be making the jump. Of course, he is dealing with an injury at the moment but having been SmackDown exclusive for around three years and having probably signed his final WWE contract, he’s openly stated he needs to go to Raw sooner or later.
Dave Meltzer has suggested that Pete Dunne is being primed for a call-up. The Bruiserweight lost the NXT UK title to Walter at NXt TakeOver: New York and Triple H is known to be a huge fan.
One of Braun Stowman and Drew McIntyre have been rumoured as SmackDown bound and they would be inserted straight into the title picture. McMahon has used SmackDown as a place for stars to get their first title win in the past before he brings them over to RAW.
Alexa Bliss hasn’t wrestled much at all in the last six months, but she made an in-ring return last week and ran through Bayley in the process. The Goddess made her name over on SmackDown after the 2016 brand split and she looks destined to return.
The Revival are another team that looks headed for Tuesday nights and they will fill the void of The Usos. The same logic could be applied to The Revival that we did earlier for The Usos having recently lost their belts.
As far as NXT call-ups go, the batch of superstars that arrived in January that have remained unsigned will finally get homes. Richochet and Aleister Black are rumoured for Raw with Lacey Evans and Lars Sullivan, too.
Heavy Machinery, EC3 and Nikki Cross could well reside on SmackDown
