WWE Superstar Shakeup: Vince McMahon promises to reveal ‘biggest acquisition in SmackDown LIVE history’ tonight
The WWE Superstar Shakeup has already seen Raw make a major splash, but tonight it will be SmackDown Live’s turn.
After losing AJ Styles, Andrade, The Usos and a host of other top stars to Monday nights, the Blue Brand needs to have a big night of its own tonight.
You can see every single one of Raw’s acquisitions from last night in our results article here.
As for SmackDown, Vince McMahon is reportedly going to announce ‘the biggest acquisition in SmackDown LIVE history tonight’.
Who could that be? It’s worth noting that SmackDown Live drafted The Rock number one overall back in 2002 and in that same draft picked up Hulk Hogan.
That’s two of the biggest names you could ever wish to find in the business.
Then in 2016, John Cena was drafted to Tuesday nights giving SmackDown three out of many fans’ Mount Rushmore.
So it can only be a truly huge name like a Brock Lesnar or a Ronda Rousey, really.
Or, does Vince mean biggest in size? That’s something McMahon would do, for sure.
There has been rumours that Braun Strowman or maybe even a Drew McIntyre could be set for a change of scenery. Both of those men would certainly fit the billing.
Either way, the WWE have put themselves in a position now where they have to deliver a really big name and not only because of their statement, but the fact that they have shipped arguably SmackDown’s biggest star, AJ Styles, to Raw.
He needs replacing. And, with the show debuting on FOX later this year in a deal worth billions, Vince McMahon knows he needs some real star power.
