WWE WrestleMania 35: Former Raw Women’s champion Ronda Rousey ‘breaks her hand’ in main event match
Ronda Rousey broke her hand during the WrestleMania 35 main event, according to reports.
The ex-UFC star lost her Raw Women’s Championship title after suffering a first pinfall in WWE at the hands of Becky Lynch on Sunday.
Rousey, Lynch and Charlotte Flair ensured the first-ever women’s WrestleMania main event was a success in a fiery bout.
But the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer revealed Rousey had ‘severely broken’ her hand in the triple threat match.
He said: “I have some news. Ronda has a broken hand, a severely broken hand. She was just diagnosed with it.”
Rousey did well to cover up her pain as she put in a solid display against Lynch and Flair.
The former Raw Women’s champion was ‘unhappy’ with an alleged botched finish to the match.
Reports claim Lynch was supposed to win the gold by tapping out Flair and not rolling up Rousey.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet is reportedly set to take time away from WWE.
She is not expected to be seen on WWE TV for a while.
